Michigan Humanities is pleased to partner with More Perfect, The Study, and other state humanities councils to bring you In Pursuit: a program designed to uncover and share the wisdom of the past 250 years to prepare us for the next American era. Seventy-two essays will be released over the next year highlighting lessons seen through the lens of presidents and first ladies throughout American history. Contributors to In Pursuit include former presidents and first ladies, national leaders, cultural icons, and respected journalists. This is a nonpartisan effort aimed at crossing divides in politics, culture, and expertise to shed surprising new light on the stories at the heart of who we are.
