Submit a Title

The next Great Michigan Read title should:

Prompt exploration of humanities content that can help Michigan’s citizens understand and learn more about their state, their history, and
their society.
Take place—at least in part—in Michigan.
Relate to contemporary life and spark dialogue about exchanging stories and fostering understanding through gathering.
Contain themes which allow for the creation of dynamic, engaging public programming.
Interest and engage a statewide audience, from high school students to seniors.
Encourage a range of perspectives and highlight interdisciplinary connections.
Be of reasonable length.
Remain in print and be accessible as an audiobook and/or ebook.
Be written by a living author.
Have been first published between 2021 and 2026. This criterion is preferred, not required.
