Curtis Chin, author of the Great Michigan Read selection Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant, will join the White Cloud Community Library for a community book signing and conversation on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 11AM.
Curtis’s memoir is a down‑to‑earth, funny, and deeply human story about growing up in Detroit, navigating identity, family, food, and belonging. His voice resonates across Michigan because it feels real — honest, warm, and rooted in lived experience.
The event will be held at the White Cloud Community Library, with conversation partner Ron, who will help guide an open, welcoming dialogue. This gathering is part of White Cloud Community Library’s Great Michigan Read programming and reflects Pan Horus Rising’s commitment to community storytelling, cultural memory, and shared connection.
