Many Stories – One Heritage

$24,953 • Troy

Individuals and member organizations of the Asian community in Troy and Oakland County, Michigan initiated a partnership with the Troy Historical Society to commemorate the enactment of the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1965 through a 12-month project that involved collecting oral histories and community celebrations/discussions. The project will serve as a template for future projects focused on other ethnicities,  races, or cultures, including but not limited to Hispanic, Arab, and Eastern Mediterranean or Balkan immigrant groups.
