Upcoming Events and Tour Dates

Dr. Mona’s author tour began in fall, 2019, and will continue throughout Michigan in fall, 2020, and early 2021 with the following regional events:

Southwest Michigan

The scheduled author tour events for March 24 and 25 were postponed due to COVID-19 impacts in Michigan.

  • Holland: Postponed until spring, 2021.
  • Grand Rapids: A rescheduled virtual event took place on October 19, 2020.

  • Benton Harbor: Postponed until spring, 2021.
  • Kalamazoo: A rescheduled virtual event took place on September 30, 2020

Northwest & Northeast Michigan

The scheduled author tour events for April 19-21 and 24 were postponed due to COVID-19 impacts in Michigan.

  • Benzonia: Postponed until spring, 2021.
  • Pentwater: A rescheduled virtual event took place on November 12, 2020.

  • Big Rapids: A rescheduled virtual event took place on July 30, 2020.

Upper Peninsula of Michigan

The scheduled author tour events for August were postponed due to COVID-19 impacts in Michigan.

Unsettled Lives Exhibit

Unsettled Lives features photos of Iraqi refugees from Dearborn area. The exhibit tackles the broad history of immigration over many generations, told largely through oral history quotes and photographs of refugees who came to Dearborn and Detroit in the 1990s.
