Author Tour

Dr. Mona’s author tour began in Flint, Caro, and southeast Michigan in fall, 2019, and has continued across Michigan in fall, 2020, and early 2021. Join Dr. Mona in 2021 at the following upcoming regional events:

Southwest Michigan

The scheduled author tour events for March, 2020, were rescheduled due to COVID-19 impacts in Michigan. Details of recent author events in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo are listed at the bottom of the page, and upcoming events include:

  • Benton Harbor: Postponed until spring, 2021.
  • Holland: Postponed until fall, 2021.

Northwest & Northeast Michigan

The scheduled author tour events for April, 2020, were postponed due to COVID-19 impacts in Michigan. Details of recent author events in Big Rapids and Pentwater are listed at the bottom of the page, and upcoming events include:

Unsettled Lives Exhibit

Unsettled Lives features photos of Iraqi refugees from Dearborn area. The exhibit tackles the broad history of immigration over many generations, told largely through oral history quotes and photographs of refugees who came to Dearborn and Detroit in the 1990s.
