On December 11, 2020, Governor Gretchen Whitmer officially reappointed April Clobes, of Bath, county of Clinton and Jim Napolitano, of Dryden, county of Lapeer to the Michigan Humanities Board of Directors.
Both will be returning on January 1, 2021 to begin a second term, which runs through October 31, 2023.
April Clobes is the President and CEO at MSU Federal Credit Union. Clobes has served as part of Michigan Humanities Finance Committee during her first term on the board, and will be elected as Treasurer in February 2021.
Jim Napolitano is a marketing consultant, volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. Napolitano has served as Fundraising Chair over the past year, and as a member of the Executive Committee. In February, Napolitano will begin his term as Vice-Chair.
“We are thrilled to have these two talented individuals returning to our board for a second term,“ said Shelly Hendrick Kasprzycki, President and CEO of Michigan Humanities. “They each bring a wealth of experience and leadership to the board.”
Michigan Humanities Board of Directors includes up to 25 individuals who represent all geographic corners of Michigan. Up to six board members are governor appointees. Board members serve up to two terms, three years for each term.
