DESCRIPTION:Dance is an important part of Anishinabe culture. The contemporary Pow Wow is a continuation of our ancestors’ tradition and an expression of contemporary North American Indian Identity. They provide an opportunity for visitors to be immersed in the sights and sounds of North American Indian culture. Join us for this demonstration as part of the Great Lakes Bay Reads programming series. \nFunding for the Great Michigan Read program is provided by Michigan Humanities.
