Ancient Legends as Art

Ancient Legends as Art

Artist Barbara Weisenburg has created life-sized figures that represent characters from myths and legends around the world. The exhibit is comprised of 21 figures such as Jamba Bibi with accompanying written legends. Also offered are lesson plans to coordinate with the exhibit, workshops to instruct individuals in creating their own storyteller figures, Michigan History bridge programs (collaboration with history, music, art, and dance), and family cultural programs to experience diversity through the arts and humanities.
