Mourning Matters is an educational program with a focus on educating the public on the history of American funeral traditions and mourning customs. Programs are given in a living history setting or as a slide lecture. The subject of mourning provides insight to how world events, medical care, and European influence have affected American belief and practice in regards to death. A look into the customs of the past awakens our awareness of today’s culture and gives reason to what we now hold as tradition. Availability Fees Contact |
