Bringing a Combat Infantryman’s WWII Experience to Life

This program consists of vivid accounts of a combat infantryman during WWII. Experiences start with William receiving his draft notice at the age of 18. The account continues through basic and advanced training, sailing to England and going over the side of troop transport ship into landing craft infantry boats, and walking to the front line from Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. He also discusses hedgerow fighting and advancing across France until being wounded in 1944. Suitable for students 14 years through college.
