Harpers Ferry: MotherTongue

These two exciting history plays honor our ancestors. Harpers Ferry depicts the final conversation between friends Frederick Douglass and John Brown before John Brown lead the raid on Harpers Ferry (ages 16 and up). MotherTongue explores the roots of Sojourner Truth and Mother Mary Jones’ commitment to changing social conditions (ages 12 and up). Each play lasts one hour and has been successfully performed in rooms, theatres, and halls.
