David Hall, Classical Marimbist

One of America’s leading marimbists and winner of the 1998 LHS International Marimba Competition, “Hall captures the audience with his ease of performance and stuns listeners with the musical capacity of the marimba” (Grand Rapids Press). His popular concerts, a delightful mix of classical, ragtime, Brazilian, and contemporary music include entertaining insights on the repertoire, history, and techniques of this unique instrument. “. . . much impressed with your virtuosity” (Los Angeles Times). “We heard a wealth of nuance and a wide palette of color amid the virtuostic acrobatics” (Grand Rapids Press).
