Ray Kamalay & His Red Hot Peppers performs classic and obscure music from the 1925–1960 period as well as originals in a fetching swing/jazz style. The group features some of the finest jazz soloists in the United States, capable of breathtaking interpretations of time-honored gems. Ray is also sentimental enough to sing these jewels, creating interest in young and old alike. The Red Hot Peppers play jazz festivals and school assemblies and have performed at Interlochen, Edinburgh, Alpena High School, and the Greenville Gazebo. “This band swings . . . hard or soft, fast or slow. They come out swingin’ at the bell and don’t stop” (Hazen Schumacher, WUOM and National Public Radio’s Jazz Revisited). Availability Fees Contact |
