Paul VornHagen Quartet

A Detroit Music Awards winner on three occasions, Paul performs on sax, flute, and vocals accompanied by piano, bass, and drumkit. The repertoire includes the music of Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Rodgers and Hart, and Horace Silver. Performances include engaging blends of swing, be-bop, bossa-nova, mambos, and ballads presented with a warm friendliness. “. . . gutsy sax, sensuous flute, and vocals smooth as silk” (Jazz Times). “Robust with touch of a romantic” (Detroit Jazz).
