Carl Cafagna & North Star Jazz

Detroit-based North Star Jazz performs intense, entertaining, cutting edge instrumental jazz. Original compositions and works by jazz masters are orchestrated for sextet, featuring a versatile three-horn line-up, with saxophones, trumpet, flute, euphonium, and trombone. Led by Carl Cafagna, a Berklee graduate and Michigan native, North Star Jazz blends East Coast sophistication with Midwestern grit. This group is ideal for festivals, school concerts and/or clinics, and concert venues. Past performances have included the Detroit Jazz Festival and the Midwestern Music Conference.
