Happendance Professional Dance Company

Happendance has a 30-year history of providing Michigan audiences with contemporary dance, including annual public performances and school outreach projects. These programs offer choreography which has broad appeal to mature and new audiences alike. There also exists an ongoing commitment to include themes of social significance (nondiscrimination, preservation of natural resources, and historical commentary). The popular school-based “Happendance To Go” links children’s literature and dance with appropriate audience participation. On-site classroom workshops emphasize the importance of conceptual learning through dance/movement experiences.
