Past experience: During my term as an associate dean of the College of Literature, Science and Arts at the University of Michigan, I was involved in museum administration and in public outreach activities. Most recently (2004), I was a leading member of team desgining outdoor learning spaces for public areas at our university. Sculptor (welded bronze) with permanent installations at universerities in US and Mexico City; photographer and graphic artist with exhibitions and numerous publications; historian of science with published book. Formal training as a physicist (current academic position as professor of physics at U. Michigan) later with formal studies and practical work in clinical psychology and in art history.
