| Past
experience: I have been involved at the local level as participant
in international awareness programs at the elementary level. I have
participated (in Spain) as a panelist in public discussions of the
goals and methods of public history, and the role of history in society. |

| Suggestions
for public humanities projects: It would be useful to create a
travelling project to bring international cultures to elementary students.
Many of our Michigan students have a poor knowledge of other cultures,
especially when those cultures are not represented in the US. A multimedia
presentation could be easily created and transported throughout Michigan
to address this curriculum need. |
