| Past
experience: I joined the staff of Michigan History magazine
in 1979, becoming its editor in 1988. During those years I have authored
more than one hundred feature length articles on Michigan history.
In 2001, the staff of Michigan History introduced Michigan
History for Kids. My most recent monograph is entitled Michigan's
Early Military Forces: A Roster and History of Troops Activated Prior
to the American Civil War with LeRoy Barnett. Since 1993 I have
taught lecure courses on Michigan history and the American Civil War,
and have directed independent studies, for the Department of History
at Michigan State University. |
