| Past
experience: I helped to develop and worked as a coordinator for a program for the Washtenaw County School District. this program counseled "at risk" youth through encouraging them to express themselves through writing. Their various poems, raps, short stories, etc., then became telescopes with with we sought to give them deeper insights into themselves. I have been a writer, researcher and taught history. My research included gathering oral histories in Detroit, Mississippi, Chicago, and in Africa. From my research I have two upcoming books, one from my work in Africa and one from Detroit. |
