| Past
experience: I teach Federal Indian law, Indian taxation, comparative
law of indigenous peoples, consistutional law, and a clinic class
that provides services to tribal governments throughout the Midwest
and Plains. I have spoken on numerous occasions to academics, students,
and the public regarding historical and current treaty rights of Indians
and their tribal governments. I published a law review article discussing
the similarities and differences of African-American rights and Indian
treaty-based rights. I am also working with two other scholars on
a casebook of American Indian Nation Law and will write a chapter
on Indian treaties. I currently serve as Chief Justice of the Crow
Nation and as an Appellate Judge for the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. |
