Past experience: I am professor of English at CMU and currently serve as Associate Dean of the College of Humanities and Social & Behavioral Sciences. I completed my doctorate at MSU where I speciallized in literacy and learning, literature for children & young adults, languages arts, and English Education. Research and teaching in the areas of English Education - specifically Literature for Children & Young Adults. Publications include articles in journals and a book released April 2003 titled Fantasy Literature for Children and Young Adults published by Scarecrow Press.
