Past experience: I have been a university faculty member since 1974 & have held various positions, including Professor of English, Associate Provost, Director of the Women's Center, & the Great Lakes Jerusalem Program at Albion College, Senior Program Officer at the Great Lakes College Association, and Director of the Pew Faculty Teaching & Learning Center at Grand Valley State University. I am also a member of the Writing Department faculty at GVSU. I have lead a number of programs for nonacademic audiences, including several sessions of Life Journey with Books for the Grand Rapids Humanities Council. I also led a program for the Grand Rapids Humanities Council on my forthcoming book Desire of the Heart. A Memoir of Albert and Sylvia Frerichs, American Missionaries.
