Past experience: I was the Director of the Humanities Council of West Central Michigan for six years. during this time I wrote several grants that helped our region bring the humanities to the pople through library programs, ONE Book programs, Riverdays Celebrations, partnerships with local historical socieities and a variety of other liaisions. I served as planner, proposal writer, and project direct. I served as an educator for 37 years prior to becoming the Humanities Council director. I have had extensive experience in creating partnerships, fund-raising, program planning and research activities. My masters work was in American Culture and my interest in historic matters is an abiding one. For the 150th Celebration of Big Rapids and Mecosta County we created a collaboration that assisted us in producing a 35 minute DVD of the history of the region.
