| Past
experience: Grantwriter, evaluation team member, participant, presenter, reporter, or report writer, for a variety of projects in health, education & agriculture during position with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in communications & program evaluation & as independent professional. Presenter in a variety of settings since becoming a published author, including keynotes at conferences for teachers & farm women to encourage internalizing the relationship between what we do, who we are, & the world around us. Increasingly speaking in churches, classrooms, civic groups & other venues about the importance of preserving rural heritage, farmsteads & open spaces for their impact on our quality of life & self understanding. I am fulfilling a lifelong desire to be a writer expressing the importance of human emotion, relationships to others, animals, and enviornment. this began with degree work in English and a career as a reporter, photographer, magazine editor, and public relations professions. Have worked with retirees, church groups, & nontraditional students to help them learn to express themselves & document what is meaningful in their lives by teaching the art of journaling, creative writing & self expression. |
