| Past
experience: My areas of focus during my graduate study included
resistance to slavery and my dissertation emphasized the connection
between resistance and spatial relations. In the years since, I have
taught numerous classes at the Universityof Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Saginaw
Valley State University and Michigan State University on slavery and
freedom in African American thought, language and action. As the Freedom
Trail Coordinator, I have conducted extensive research on the Underground
Railroad and presented numerous lectures to audiences between the
ages of five and seventy. |
