Grant Deadlines and Workshops

Through its grants program, Michigan Humanities Council supports a variety of activities that bring humanities scholars and the public together to promote understanding and appreciation of the humanities. The grants program has recently been modified to reflect the changes in Michigan's cultural community as the Council seeks to meet the needs of applicant organizations of different kinds, sizes and varying levels of expertise.

Quick Grant Applications must be received at least 4 weeks before program date.

*All deadline dates are postmark deadline dates. If a deadline date falls on a holiday or weekend, then the deadline or workshop is extended to the next working day.

Grant Writing Workshops

The Michigan Humanities Council will no longer host workshops. However, please feel free to contact Cindy Dimitrijevic, the Director of Grants, who will work with anyone individually on grant ideas and requests.
