Central Michigan University has been awarded a $25,000 Public Humanities Development Grant for the 2005 Michigan Story Festival. The event will celebrate the different ways stories can touch and inspire. The featured presenters will relate stories about life experiences -- biography and autobiography – through movement, dance, music, exhibitions and the spoken word, including journals, letters and myths. This project is a continuation of the 2003 and 2004 Story Festivals, also sponsored by CMU; Michigan Humanities Council awarded a $15,000 grant in 2003 and $31,000 grant in 2004 for each of these projects.
