The invitation is open to the public and the cost is $35 for the entire event; the bus tour alone is $25. Rowland Exhibition -- (2003) Grant Awarded: August 2003 Type of Grant: Public Humanities DevelopmentGrant Sponsors: The Historical Society of Clinton Contact: Sharon Scott, 517-456-7198, sascott2@comcast.net Award: $16,989 matching Website: www.wirtrowland.org The Historical Society of Clinton has been awarded a $16,989 Public Humanities Development Grant for the “Wirt C. Rowland Exhibition.” A traveling exhibition will be created to recognize the life, career and influence of Wirt C. Rowland, Michigan architect, and highlight the Penobscot and Guarding Buildings in Detroit, as well as the Kirk in the Hills (Bloomfield Hills), the Jefferson Ave Presbyterian Church (Detroit) and Mortuary Chapel (Clinton).
