BoarsHead Theater of Lansing has been awarded a $7,000 Local Network grant for “Created with our Hands: Lansing’s History through the Voices of the Union.” The project will bring together members of the Greater Lansing community with aging members of the UAW, fire and police unions, in community talk sessions. The sessions are to be recorded by Playwright Eileen O’Leary and excerpts from these interviews and discussions will become a script. The transcripts, audio/video clips, and final script will become part of the union libraries and offered to other libraries and community organizations in Michigan.
