Covert Public Schools and Magical Rain Theaterworks have been awarded a $15,000 Local Network grant to produce the theatrical production, "New World Remix." The play will focus on New World cultures in terms of history and heritage in connection to contemporary issues of identity. "New World Remix" will be directed by Magical Rain Theaterworks and produced and performed by the students of three classrooms at Covert High School. An interactive exhibit accompanying the play will tour Covert High School, Lake Michigan College's Mendel Center and the Van Buren ISD Conference Center.
