Our Stories, Our Lives

Art. Humanity. Survival.

On Tuesday, May 17, be a part of this unique collaboration between the Michigan Humanities Council, the DSO, and Planterra! Join us for an evening of chamber music and spoken word in the lush environment of Planterra. A DSO string quartet performs works you help select and author Emily St. John Mandel reads excerpts of her novel Station Eleven. Just as the characters in Station Eleven choose what music and theater they must preserve for humanity, you tell us what chamber music you cherish most. Purchase the book from your local bookseller and check here for the final program! Click here to suggest a piece.

Complimentary valet parking is provided and is the only parking option at Planterra. Click here for more information about the venue.

VIP experience includes preferred seating and a drink ticket.

All concert attendees are invited to a post-concert reception with the author and musicians.
